I’m diving down this rabbit hole again after about 18 months. Just seeing if there is anything new worth trying. What’s a bit strange about coming across your video is that I have a MousePad Co mousepad that still gets heavy use in my rotation. Referring to the Tik-Tok videos, I thought the same things when I first got it. The material and feel were not what I expected at all. I laid it out to start using it and couldn’t explain why but really liked it. I probably use it as much or more than the others combined. Then it just ends up being the only one I use for a while and then I get bored with using the same mat, which brings me to this point of the cycle again. It’s on my desk right now and still looks/works/feels as great as the day I bought it. I hand clean it when necessary, which entails laying it flat in my bathtub, getting it completely wet, spraying a mild detergent on it (I find Shout! the laundry product works really well), give it a decent scrub with a clean hand towel, rinse it thoroughly, then hang it to dry. I’m not sure how old it is, but I don’t remember there being a choice of materials to choose from when I bought it. Looking at the examples on their website, it mostly looks like the StabylGlyde material, but I can’t say for sure. It’s more similar to the weird canvassy one in your Tik-Tok video. What I do know is that it’s nearing the end of a third complete cycle, so at least 3 years, but not over 4 1/2. I’m just going to purchase another one from them at this point. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the one I already own. I just want to be able to switch them up once in a while.

Well damn, been using the grovemade desk mat. But the prices have gone from extremely high to downright obscene over the past few years.

Was hoping to find something cheaper for my 2nd setup. Really wish some chinese company would make linoleum desk mats. Because linoleum really does seem like the best mix between durability, ease of cleaning, and comfort. But grovemade is off their rocker with these prices.
