Got my blue light prescription eyeglasses and ever since i started using them for my work, which is using the computer at least 12 hours a day, my eyes no longer strain like before.
Blue light glasses are really helpful for people with sensory processing disorder, a common co-morbid condition with Autism. ADHD can also intensify this sensitivity also. Without good blue light blocking lenses, I get eye strain and pain especially behind my left eye and actually, really chronic migrains, up to 3 times a week. The dial has been turned up on sensitivities, intensifying them during menopause to make me no longer be able get by or function. White light from car headlights, those annoying detective programmes, where they go investigate with a flash light that thay keep flashing at the screen or just sending a text can trigger a migraine attack and immense pain. Down one side of my head and neck. I want to vomit and every little bit of sensory input is like torchure. Imagine the worst hangover on the planet thrice weekly. Lots of prescription migraine tablets are the best. Even powerful painkillers are like eating a couple of m&ms and expecting it to work. My body feels like it has overdosed and been poisoned by blue light, like I have some sort of allergic reaction to it. Most people don’t seem to get bothered by it but for me it is very different. The right blue light glasses make a huge difference.
